LikeCoin 3.0 migration plan
In December, the LikeCoin 3.0 migration plan was initiated, listing several action items to facilitate the migration. With the proposal successfully passed, the Tech subDAO began working on various tasks, led by Rick and William. This meeting aims to discuss the progress made over the past few weeks and outline the expected timeline. Rick will provide an overview of the recent activities.

Rick explained that, despite the holiday season, progress was made in creating an ERC-20 test contract with basic features such as upgradability, pausability, and persistence. The contract, not yet finalized, is available on the LikeCoin GitHub. A key point of interest is that the contract will be owned by a multisig wallet, the same one holding the community pool in the Cosmos Ecosystem. The NFT contract is still in progress, with efforts focused on matching the LIKE NFT to the ERC standard metadata. Some features may be deferred to later phases and added with additional smart contracts. The team has tested the mapping on the OpenSEA testnet to ensure compatibility with current market standards. Draft plans for the ERC-20 migration have been made, with transparency in mind. The upcoming focus is on completing the LIKE NFT and ERC standard metadata mapping, deciding on the UI display, and deploying the program on the testnet for migration flow testing.
Phoebe inquired about the timeline for when users can start seeing milestones, with everything currently on the testnet. Rick responded that a timeline would be provided once the mapping is complete, but no concrete date is available at this moment.
William shared updates on the ERC 721 spec progress, which involves exploring another custodial wallet service. The team is investigating mainstream choices other than Authcore. Four potential candidates, each with its advantages and disadvantages, have been evaluated through simple demos using LikeCoin chain functions. A project dashboard link is available for those interested in the technical side. The team is closing in on a conclusion regarding the preferred service for the token migration. This service will be used to test the required elements for NFT ebook or Writing NFT functionality on ERC-721. Insights are expected soon to avoid blocking smart contract development.
The team will share more updates in the future.
Progress of Numbers token swap
Following up on the action items from last month, Phoebe is responsible for executing the proposal on the numbers token swap as outlined in Proposal 80. This process is already underway, with part of the funds sent back to the safe wallet, guided by several community members. The efforts will continue until the swap is complete, and updates will be provided as progress is made.
Upcoming pop-up bookstores
In December, Liker Land listed nine new books, although it was not a significant number. However, the exciting news is that the first Taiwan publisher has been officially onboarded, listing several classic literature books worth checking out. Participation in a bookstore event inspired plans to host more pop-up bookstores, enhancing user interaction offline in both Hong Kong and Taiwan. The next event will take place this week at a bookstore in Hong Kong. For those with questions about Liker Land or Web3 in general, visiting these events is encouraged, with details to be shared on social media soon.

Transaction volume on Liker Land saw a slight rebound last month, but there is still room for improvement. Efforts in January will focus on implementing new sales strategies to boost the growth rate of transaction volume. Exciting events and new book listings are forecasted for the coming weeks. Starting in February, several workshops will be hosted in Taiwan, marking an exciting Q1 for Liker Land. These workshops aim to onboard more Taiwan partners and facilitate in-person, hand-to-hand workshops to fast-track the listing process and engage with the Taiwan audience. The team will be in Taiwan, reaching out to gauge market reactions.
