LikeCoin selected as 2020 Grant for the Web Flagship grantee
We are grateful to be selected as one of the flagship-level grantees to incorporate Web Monetization into LikeCoin protocol. Grant for the Web is a fund to boost open, fair, and inclusive standards and innovation in Web Monetization, which is a JavaScript browser API that allows the creation of a payment stream from the user agent to the website. We shall share more on our implementation plan in our Nov community call.
IPFS research case study on LikeCoin
We are glad to be invited by the IPFS research team to share our effort in building our Decentralized Registry — International Standard Content Number (ISCN). The LikeCoin chain was built based on Cosmos SDK and we rely on IPFS for storing and linking content metadata. This case study explained how we integrate both tech stacks to build the protocol.

Governance
LikeCoin chain now grows to 19 active validators. Come meet some of the new validators in tomorrow’s community call.
Proposal #4, which will allow individual LikeCoin stakeholders to raise proposals and vote, was passed on 5 Oct. This feature will be incorporated in the next update of validator software.
Afterward, Proposal #5 was raised to increase the inflation rate from 1% to 2%. The voting period has started on 27 Oct and will end on 10 Nov. 7.74% of online voting power has been voted. You may dedicate your LikeCoin to validators to participate in the vote.
