On January 3, 2009, Bitcoin was born. Satoshi Nakamoto wrote the following text in the first genesis block of Bitcoin, “The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of a second bailout for banks”, which explained the meaning of Bitcoin in one sentence.

Following the LikeCoin chain FoTan upgrade, the first registered ISCN — A Declaration of the Independence of Cyberspace, written by John Perry Barlow, became the genesis content on LikeCoin chain FoTan. The content was recorded at block height 26 on August 18, 2021 at 21:34:05 (GMT+8). And the record will remain and be maintained by the global, decentralized LikeCoin community. The genesis ISCN record represented a symbolic meaning of the metaverse we are co-building at LikeCoin. Read about the story behind the first ISCN.

“We are creating a world that all may enter without privilege or prejudice accorded by race, economic power, military force, or station of birth.

We are creating a world where anyone, anywhere may express his or her beliefs, no matter how singular, without fear of being coerced into silence or conformity.

Your legal concepts of property, expression, identity, movement, and context do not apply to us. They are all based on matter, and there is no matter here. “

— A Declaration of the Independence of Cyberspace, by John Perry Barlow, February 8, 1996

The first version of the ISCN registry app is now available to users! You can register your image files and obtain an ISCN. The web app currently supports image upload only; more supported formats will come soon. To begin with, you need to register a Keplr wallet and transfer a small amount of LikeCoin to use the service. Please refer to the #DePub tutorial to get started.

If you are curious about how the first ISCN record looks like on the LikeCoin chain, you can view the transaction record on the Block Explorer. Note that you need to click the “Raw” option at the bottom of the interface (see the picture below) to expand the details of the record.

ISCN records are publicly available on the blockchain like other transaction data and can be accessed by anyone. For advanced technical users, if you are interested in viewing other ISCN records on the LikeCoin chain, you can directly access the chain API endpoint. The interface is very primitive, but we look forward to slowly develop various applications based on these open data in the future.
